Will cover art be implemented in a future version? I like the clean and simple looking interface and it does exactly what I want. I am using it to connect to a Raspberry Pi running Rune Audio. Any other features to look forward to?

Thanks for your hard work on a this excellent MPD client!

Thank you for your kind words.

Yes, cover art will be added in some future version. I've already written some code for fetching covers from MusicBrainz (I should add it to Git one of these days), but there's no code yet for using it in the GUI. Ideas on what exactly to do with it so it's actually useful is welcome.

In terms of implementation it would be good if the 'album' row in 'list' views included a 'cover' column to display artwork and then add artwork to the 'now playing' bar at the bottom also.

Multiple options for album art would be good:
  1. Local File System: Specify the root directory where music is stored if on the same machine as Auremo (as in mpd.conf) and grab artwork from album directory.
  2. Web Server: Specify the port where the music directory is served via http on the MPD server (e.g. http://{MPD_SERVER_ADDRESS}:8080/Adele/21/folder.jpg).
  3. Download from the internet: Grabbers for AudioDB, MusicBrainz etc... to attempt to download artwork if not found locally.
For 1 & 2 it may be good to add an option to specify a comma-separated list of potential artwork file names to search for (i.e. folder.jpg,cover.jpg).

Great job by the way. Easily the best Windows client for MPD. With artwork for some extra graphical bling it will be the most complete client I have used.
